Somewhere

Image
I really tried to get the lighting to match up and I wanted to convey a tired and exhausted look with my pose.  I feel that I was able to get that, but could’ve maybe taken a few more sample pictures.  Overall I am pleased with how it turned out.  I played with the lighting for a while and I feel that that is the best I could get.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CJE80-pDRux/ This looks hard to do because of all the lumps in the blanket and getting the lighting on your face to match the lighting in the photo seems very difficult.  In order to make this look convincing, it is going to require a lot of time, patience, effort, and knowledge of photoshop. https://www.instagram.com/p/Co1vAXMNzve/ I think it would be really appropriate to photoshop myself in Hollywood because that's where I want to work for a living, so photoshopping myself to seem as though I'm actually there would be funny. I think this is just really funny and I think it's easy to create photoshop images where you are "trolling" someone else in the photo. I think this would be really fun to recreate because it's so easy and the end result looks fantastic.

Photoshop colors

Artist Statement: I think my favorite version of my black-and-white to color has to be the square colors.  I really like the contrast.  The process was fairly simple, I created all the areas I wanted to be masked, copied and pasted them, and just switched the colors around.  I used that technique for this project, which is not cheating, but it is resourceful.  Overall I am happy with how each design turned out.

Photoshop Brush

Image
I used the fifth spray from the downloads we were given to use, and I think it actually makes my custom spray look interesting.  I like how custom it looks and I like how it fades at one point.  This is by far one of the coolest things I’ve ever made using Photoshop.  I also like how it looks like it is burned into a wooden surface.  My favorite color out of these three here is probably the blue brush.

Photoshop Homework #2

Image
I think one of the most powerful photos from the documentary was the photo of the woman holding her baby, the one who was the victim of the crime.  She was lacking much expression but her pose and lack of emotion captured all of what she was truly feeling.  I felt bad for her for having to suffer through what she had to, and I feel bad for her child who will have to come to terms with the fact that he's the result of a crime.     My photo above is just me trying to replicate any feelings one got from the documentary with it being a portrait photo.  I didn't know really what I should do for it but I like how I look in this photo there may be some hidden meaning to it, but I ultimately chose it because it is the most recent photo of me.     I like my photo here.  I feel the background is interesting with the leading lines on the ceiling and the interesting colors of the posters behind me.  The natural light coming from the back also makes it really interesting as it sort of

Photoshop Homework #1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFEuTUUHAvw&pp=ygUTcGhvdG9zaG9wIHR1dG9yaWFscw%3D%3D     There are a lot of edits in this video I am not entirely sure how to do.  It really comes down to the memory of tools and those tools' abilities.  I am interested in exploring what the masks can do so I can create cool art pieces on my own.  Really I want to know how to use all the tools. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-lhr83hEhk&pp=ygUTcGhvdG9zaG9wIHR1dG9yaWFscw%3D%3D      This is so interesting in the fact that creating an effect like this only has to take approximately 74 seconds to create.  I don't think these tools are extremely difficult to use, that's why a lot of people prefer adobe products, but I do feel that remembering what tools are the best is going to be difficult, as it's not always easy to remember which tool does what. ://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmM95gL6ZCc&pp=ygUTcGhvdG9zaG9wIHR1dG9yaWFscw%3D%3D     I don't think the tools are very hard to use in

Propaganda Poster

Image
Propaganda Poster: Original Selfie: Inspiration: Artist Statement: For my piece, I wanted to make a campaign against politics in movies, especially when it is not the focus of the film.  It’s always bothered me when recognizable studios incorporate their political ideologies, or whatever’s popular, into their movie to essentially get “brownie points.”  I wanted to make my poster stand out so I included the famous red, white, and blue that is usually associated with American War Propaganda posters.  Overall I think my message is clear and comes across in a respectful and mature manner.
